For Workers
Find the visit on your Today screen and tap Check In. Your check-in time is recorded immediately. Always check in when you actually arrive at the address.
Tap the red SOS button in the top right of any screen, then confirm. Your admin team is notified instantly. SaferVisit does not contact emergency services — call 999 first in a life-threatening situation.
Yes. Check-ins, check-outs, notes and task logs are saved locally and sync automatically once your connection returns. Check sync status in Account → Sync Status.
If your admin has enabled property QR verification, your Today screen shows a scan step before check-in or check-out. You can use the camera or enter the code manually if the label is damaged.
You can log meals, medication, personal care, tasks, mood (1–4 rating), free-text notes, and activity chips (cooking, shopping, exercise, appointments, etc.). Logging is optional but encouraged — mood ratings especially help managers spot welfare concerns early.
If your admin has enabled the welfare timer, a 30-minute countdown appears on the active visit screen. Tap I'm OK to reset it and confirm you are safe. If the timer expires, a red warning appears with the option to raise an SOS alert. This is primarily used for lone workers and supported living visits.
At the end of a visit you can leave notes for the next worker visiting the same client — things like how they were feeling, anything to follow up, or changes at the property. The next worker sees this at the top of their active visit screen.

For Admins
Go to the Workers tab and tap +. Enter their name, email, and role. They receive login credentials and can sign in to the app straight away.
Open the Alerts tab and tap the SOS alert to see the worker's name and visit details. Call the worker immediately and follow your organisation's emergency response procedure.
A visit is flagged overdue when it passes its scheduled time without a check-in, or when an active visit runs significantly over time. Treat every overdue alert as requiring follow-up — it is a worker safety feature.
Yes. Go to Settings → Features in the mobile app or the web portal. You can enable or disable mood tracking, activity log, worker handover notes, care tasks, visit notes, clinical data, support plan, person-centred goals, QR verification, and the welfare timer. Changes take effect after the next sign-in.
Yes. Admins can enable QR verification per client, generate or rotate the property code, and print or share the QR card from the app. The website portal has the same QR data for admin oversight.
Yes. Admins can use the full dashboard from any web browser at the web portal — no app installation needed. See live workers, manage visits, respond to alerts, and configure feature flags from your desktop.
